As the sun comes up early in the morning, most people are in their beds, but there are always the select few grinding in the a.m., and Ryan Meis is one of them.

Meis is a senior two-sport athlete here at BPHS. He plays point guard on the varsity basketball team and is coming out of retirement to play baseball for the first time since his freshman year.

One hobby of his is hitting the links with his role model, his dad, and his brother. He is an avid golfer.

Meis plans on continuing his basketball career at the collegiate level, but he is undecided as to where.

One thing you may not know about Ryan is he has never eaten any type of hamburger. He also cuts grass as a summer job.

If Meis was stuck on a deserted island, he would take a fishing kit with him. But if he had a superpower, he would want to teleport, so he can just teleport his way out of there.

When asked what he brings to the paper, he said his "energy" and "positive personality."

Meis is back and ready for his second year of Journalism to "take the paper to new heights."
