Hawk Eye is in for a treat this year with the addition of Russell Finelsen. Russell is an avid sports fan, has a love of writing, and wishes to bring these two passions of his together when he writes for Hawk Eye.

As a well-rounded and knowledgeable freshmen with all honors courses and a mile long list of interests, Russell hopes to bring a unique new view to Hawk Eye. He hopes that as the year progresses, his stories and the those of his peers will draw more attention to Hawk Eye and with that attention a greater participation in the newspaper club.

As this school year go forward, Russell hopes to acquire a better understanding of journalism and learn to be a better writer. This being his first time writing for a newspaper, Russell hopes to catch on to the journalistic style of writing quickly.

He believes and hopes that this class and the skills he learns in it will help him to achieve his goal of going to college in New York at either Columbia or Cornell. With this class, Russell wishes to get his jump start in the journalism world. With this class, Russell wishes to get his jump start in the journalism world.

In what little free time he has, Russell likes to read and research different locations around the world. Russell hopes to be able to continue with those interests as he strives to get the highest possible GPA with his all honors schedule.

This wonderful new addition will add huge amounts of talent to our school's newspaper. With an all honors schedule, Chess and Math clubs, Forensics, and his Journalism class, Russell has a very full year ahead of him and no doubt he will succeed in all that he does.
