BPHS senior Greydon Tomkowitz is the current Editor-In-Chief of Hawk Eye, a position he has served in for three years.
Greydon joined the newspaper staff as a freshman where he designed and published the first ever print edition of Hawk Eye as Print Editor.
Beginning his sophomore year, Greydon took on the role of Editor-in-Chief to replace the former editor, Russell Finelsen.
Greydon is a member of Quill and Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists.
Other work with media and journalism includes presentations at the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT) Student Technology Showcase for his work with livestream news broadcasts.
Greydon has also assisted at the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference (TRETC) and helped with a live webinar for Touchcast Studios regarding live broadcast and chroma key technology for morning announcements and school news programs.
Greydon has attended multiple leadership and student educational conferences such as the People to People International Leadership Conference, The National Youth Leadership Conference, and the BSA operated National Youth Leadership Training.
In addition to his role with Hawk Eye, Greydon is a member of the BPHS NHS chapter, serves as an SGA representative, is Captain of the Mock Trial team, Junior Board member for the Miracle League of the South Hills, Miracle League of the South Hills Buddy Coordinator, and serves as Drama Club Media Director. In addition, Greydon is a member of the Speech and Debate team, Fall Play Cast, Musical Cast, Science Club, and is a Life Rank Scout with BSA Troop 4.
In the long term, Greydon wants to study international affairs and marketing. The end goal is to work in campaign management or foreign policy.
