Applications for SGA senator positions are now available in the Activities Office.

Application packets include several questions to answer and a signature sheet.

Applicants must obtain 50 signatures from students in their own grade, as well as three teacher signatures in order to apply. The signature form is due in the activities office by April 28.

Applicants are also required to write and deliver a speech no longer than three minutes. Speeches must be approved by the SGA teacher sponsor Mr. Kszastowski no later than April 28. Speeches will be recorded May 5 and 6.

Elections for SGA senators will be held Tuesday, May 9. Votes can be cast during lunch periods in the Activities Office.

There are five elected senators from current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

An SGA senator is required to attend all SGA senator meetings, attend all SGA functions, join and chair committees, and actively seek input from their classmates.

When asked why SGA senators are important, SGA Secretary Rachel McClain said, “SGA is one of the most influential clubs in the school and senators have the ability to help make decisions within this organization.”
