Are you ever at a loss as to what you can do during the holidays? Do you find yourself looking for things to do with friends and family and not coming up with anything? You won’t have to worry about it anymore; here are 10 activities that you can do with family and friends this holiday season!

  1. Make gingerbread houses. A classic activity, gingerbread house making is a fun way to collaborate with loved ones. It’s an easy task that can be a great bonding experience for all. Plus, you get a tasty treat as a result!

  1. Look at holiday decorations near you. Take a drive around the neighborhoods near you and look at all of the different decorations! Every house is unique, and it can give you great ideas on ways to decorate your house next year.

  1. Bake holiday cookies. Look up a tutorial online and bake and decorate some holiday cookies. Make different flavored cookies and give them fun holiday designs!

  1. Host a secret santa. Secret santa is a fun way to get engaged with all of your friends and family. It’s also a great way to save money. Instead of buying a gift for all of your friends (which is still a pleasant thing to do), you can all pick a random person to buy a nice and meaningful gift for. It gives you the opportunity to make the gift more thoughtful.

  1. Have a holiday movie night. If you’d rather not go out, you can stay cozy and watch holiday movies. There are many great ones to choose from that are sure to keep you entertained.

  1. Go ice skating. Bundle up and go ice skating at a local rink! Ice skating is a great way to have fun while also staying active. Even if you aren’t the best at it, it can still be fun to learn and improve your skating.

  1. Do volunteer work and/or donate. Volunteering is a great way to bond with family and friends and a productive way to spend your holiday season. You can volunteer wherever, like animal shelters and food drives. You can also donate to those in need of items like warm clothing during the cold holiday season.

  1. Do Christmas Karaoke.  Freshen up on your holiday song knowledge with Christmas karaoke. There’s no need for a fancy set up; just using a tv to play the music is enough!

  1. Have a Christmas photoshoot. Take holiday themed pictures together with your friends and family. You can even put them on cards and give them out to others.

  1. Go sledding. If the weather allows it, find a hilly area and go sledding! Sledding is another opportunity to get outside and stay active while also having fun.

Hopefully one of these simple ideas gives you inspiration as to what to do this holiday season!
