Say hello to Meghan Krapp! She is a three-year Hawk Eye staff member in her senior year here at BPHS and an absolute powerhouse at that! She has a total of 31 published articles and has been awarded three Best of SNO awards.
Without further ado, let’s learn a little bit more about who Meghan Krapp is.
If you don’t see Meghan in the hallways at BPHS, you can most likely find her working at Hallmark, taking a stroll in one of our community’s parks, or curled up on the couch watching her favorite movie, Pride and Prejudice.
Her favorite season is fall because it’s “not too hot or too cold and it just always has good vibes.” On a cool October morning, Meghan is probably outside with a blanket reading The Song of Achilles or playing with her two dogs Libby and Justice.
Two of her biggest achievements are captain of the varsity lacrosse team and editor-in-chief of Hawk Eye, both her junior and senior years.
On top of this, Meghan has even more to accomplish this year. She aspires to “bring more attention to the sports teams (especially girls lacrosse) and to the extraordinary students that attend BPHS.”
She always wears converse and has a secret love for the Glee soundtrack.
In terms of the future, Meghan stated, “I plan to either major in education, journalism, or marketing, and I want to go to a college close by. My number one choice is Duquesne.”
Her wanting to further her education close to home makes sense as her biggest inspiration is her mom. When describing her, Meghan said: “She is legally blind but she still does things that normally sighted people do. She is the strongest and bravest woman I know.”
If you want to see more of Meghan, look out for new upcoming articles from this senior journalist in the next few weeks of school!
