Hooper is one word to describe Olivia Westphal.
“Liv,” a BPHS junior, will begin her third year as a varsity starter this winter as she and her team set their sights on winning the school’s second WPIAL championship.
In her free time, you can most likely find her working on her game and perfecting her patented jump shot.
Basketball isn’t the only thing Liv excels at; she also shines in the classroom. She carries a 4.2 GPA and hopes to attend law school with the intend of becoming a lawyer. Her favorite class is Journalism and enjoys to read and write.
Liv will begin her second year on the Hawk Eye staff and plans to write excellent sports articles, feature stories, and more. When asked why she choose to take Journalism, her answer was simple; “So I get to talk to Mr. Allemang every morning.”
Some fun facts about your starting shooting guard is that she can drive with her knees and juggle.
Make sure you keep an eye out for Liv on the court this winter hitting some jumpers and in the paper attached to some articles this year.
