The halftime show begins, the Marching Band starts the show, and right in the front center is senior Gabriella Walsh!
Walsh is the 25-26 Marching Band Head Majorette! She leads the band onto the field every Friday night! This is her fourth season as a majorette!
Her favorite memory from all of her years is marching “Hot Time Bethel Victory” for the first time as a senior!
Outside of school, she is a competitive baton twirler. Her coach is Lee Ann Chamberlain. Her most exciting award she has won is the North Atlantic Regional Pageant Winner 16+! She won her X-Strutt and placed second for her solo!
She was a member of Passion Twirl and Poms for five years, where she gained valuable experience and developed her skills. In her senior year, she chose to dedicate her focus to the high school band as head majorette and to start preparing for college tryouts
This will be Gabriella’s second year in Scholastic Publications! When asked why she took this class, she said, “It looked like a fun class! I took this class since I plan to take photos for the yearbook and make social media posts.”
After high school, Gabby plans to attend college for Nursing and become a feature twirler!
If she had a superpower, it would be Invisibility.
Her dream place to live is California! When asked why, she said, “It looks like a good place to live.”
Her favorite Starbucks drink is an Iced Honey Apple Almond milk Flat White.
If she had to pick one person to have dinner with, she would pick Lana Del Rey. She said, “I’m so obsessed with her, so she is obviously my first choice.”
Her favorite movie is “Girl Interrupted.”
