Lady Hawks soar past the Rams and Panthers
Girls basketball team is all smiles after their championship win.
In the championship game of the Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 8, the Lady Hawks defeated Franklin Regional, 61-37, in The Nest.
Leading scorers were sophomore guard Olivia Westphal with 24 points, senior guard Maria Cerro with 16 points, and junior forward Maddie Dziezgowski with 15 points.
The day before, Dec. 7, the Hawks triumphed over Pine Richland, 61-22.
The leading scorers of that game were Maddie Dziezgowski with 16 points and Olivia Westphal with 15 points.
“We are having a lot of fun together and that’s why we’re playing so well,” said junior guard Lauren Mullen.
“This season is going to be a good one,” said Juliana Carbone.
The Lady Hawks next game is away against Shaler on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
