Every Friday night, the football games are full of fun and marching band music. The marching band plays throughout the game with unity and confidence. The flute’s whimsical sound, the drum line’s booming tempo, the trombone’s base, and more make the band sound awesome! One person you can see playing the trombone in the marching band is Anastasia Williams.

Anastasia Williams is a freshman and in her first year as a newspaper reporter. She hopes to achieve the act of informing people about Bethel Park sports, marching band, and other activities. Anastasia is also writing for the newspaper because as of right now, she aspires to major in journalism at the University of Pittsburgh.

She is using this given opportunity to see if this major would be a good fit for her.

Anastasia stated,”If I find out I don’t like it this year, I can always change career paths.”

Outside of writing for the newspaper, one could see Anastasia performing in the marching band, contending at karate, completing homework, reading a fantastic book, or playing softball. Her favorite author is Alan Gratz, who wrote New York bestseller “Refugee” and “Code of Honor.” “Code of Honor” is Anastasia’s favorite book.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Anastasia on the football field and in the paper!
