One of the top toys of the 2018 Christmas season is the new Hasbro toy, Yellies! These toys were the hardest to find, and since the closing of Toys R Us, parents had the hardest time looking for these adorable robotic spiders.

So what exactly are Yellies!? Yellies! are small robotic spiders that respond to loud sounds like yelling, screaming, singing or talking. But there is a catch. The louder the sounds, the faster the toys move. And according to customer reviews, the toys aren’t worth the money. They don’t work well on carpet, the battery doesn’t last long, and they are scaring children.

Also, according to a viral Facebook post by a mother whose son is absolutely terrified by the toys, “I yelled at it. The spider ran for it,” Hilary Hard wrote. “Leo starts screaming… the louder he screams, the faster the spider pursued him.” Things escalated from there, with the toy backing her son into the corner as he shrieked in terror, Hard said.

This toy has mixed reviews and you either love it or hate it.
