2014 election proves memorable

The 2014 elections are now a distant memory.

Pennsylvania, in particular, had some memorable results. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, took the election by a slim margin thus ejecting Tom Corbett, a Republican, from his position.

On a broader scene, for the first time in eight years, Republicans hold the house and the Senate. With the presidential election coming up in two years, this could be a big moment for Republicans. They hold 52 of the 100 seats in the house and are looking to grow. The Democrats however are looking to gain seats back so they can shift the political decisions their way.

Time will tell how the newly elected will fulfill their responsibilities in their respective offices.
