BPHS freshman accepted into volunteer program

One of BPHS’s own has been chosen to participate in an exclusive volunteer program.

Sabrina Tatalias, freshman at BPHS, was accepted into the St. Lucy’s Junior Medallion Ball Program.

“It’s a huge honor,” Sabrina said. “I am very happy to be accepted.”

Sabrina will do volunteer service during her freshman, sophomore, and junior years to fulfill her requirements as a candidate. Once she hits senior year, she will be awarded at the Medallion Ball by Bishop Zubic.

The Medallion Ball Program promotes teenage girls to do community service. This year, they selected only 130 girls. Each member must do greater than 25 hours of volunteering each year and at least 150 hours during the tenure.

Volunteering is very important to the community, and this program promotes it very well.
