German Club to celebrate German-American week

From October 1 to October 7, it is National German-American Week, when everyone in the school can experience the German vibe.

“The special thing about German-American week is that it gives people of German descent and anyone affiliated with anything German to be proud of the German culture and to strengthen the bond between Germany and America,” said Brendan Troesch, vice president of the German Club.

Each school day, you can show spirit to German-American week by following and celebrating all five of the theme days. They are:

  • October 1: Environmental/Green Day
  • October 2: Bavarian Day
  • October 3: Everything German Day
  • October 6: Soccer Day
  • October 7: Black, Red and Gold Day

This event is sponsored by the German Club.

“The German Club,” Troesch said, “allows German students to come together and enrich the environment while representing the German program. We meet once a month.”

To be a part of this excitement, you can sign up at the Activities Office or talk to Mr. Tobias.

In addition, the German Club will be selling Chocolate Advent Calendars the whole month of November.

So, come to school, get your German on, and support German-American Week!
