You’ve probably noticed those all black or white trendy high-tops walking around the school once or twice before. Those belong to the beautiful and brainy brunette, Bailey Sims.
Bailey, Bethel Park’s star tennis play, also enjoys all things exciting. Although she cannot sit through an entire movie without shaking like a maniac, she seems cool, calm, and collected.
Bailey agrees that one word to describe her would be energetic. She said, “I have a problem with sitting still and I’m always eager to try new things” [nervous laughter]. When with friends, Bailey’s personality shines brightest, and she is everything but quiet. If you hear somebody screaming Bastille, that’s her.
Not only is Bailey outgoing and loud, she is also extremely smart. Bailey achieves top notch grades and puts school first, of course. With her high standards she sets for herself, Bailey plans on going to Carnegie Mellon University for a major in film editing or journalism.
When asked what she would like to accomplish in the journalism course we have here at BPHS, she said, “I would like to create a portfolio of all my writings throughout the year [nervous laughter], and I’d also like to improve my writing skills in the journalism field, and make myself a better writer” [nervous laughter continuing].
Along with playing tennis and working hard in her school work, Bailey likes to read, “live the skater life”, and listen to music. Bailey said, “Some of my favorite bands and artists include Bastille, Hunter Hays, Mumford and Sons, and The Killers”.
Whether she’s listening to music or bouncing around the tennis courts, Bailey is an all around great person and an even better friend.
