Art Department to host arts festival

A lot of students in many schools have artistic talents that are not always showcased to the public eye. But the Art Department here at BPHS, in conjunction with STEAM, is going to host a festival of arts to highlight student work.

The arts festival, which is free to the public, will be on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Palombo, a ceramic art teacher at BPHS, said: “Students should attend all art festivals. We often forget that the arts touch every second of our lives.”

In this exposition, there will be student artists showcasing a gallery of paintings, illustrations, digital arts, and sculptures. The art will be on display in the front entrance/foyer and in the innovation studio.

There will also be artist demonstrations in the cafeteria along with food, games, and hands-on activities for all ages.

“By attending this event, you can learn about talents that you might not know about,” Mrs. Palombo said.
