BP to hold FAFSA night for parents

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the BP Guidance Department will be offering a program for parents who need help filling out FAFSA. Representatives from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will be in attendance for extra assistance. The event starts at 6 p.m.

If you have a laptop, you are encouraged to bring it, but if you do not, there will be extra laptops available. The process will only take about two hours.

If you’re planning to attend, please fill out this form online. The things you’ll need to bring include:

  • A Federal Student Aid Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • Your Social Security Number
  • Your driver’s license number
  • Your alien registration number, if you are not a U.S. citizen
  • Your W-2 forms
  • Records of other untaxed income received
  • Your federal income tax return
  • Your current bank statements and records of stocks, bonds and other investments

Fiancial Aid is a large factor for many college students and it’s very important for everyone to be introduced to FAFSA before heading to college in the fall.
