Coffee is gonna cost a few more beans

Michael Musciano, Staff Writer

Coffee prices recently increased to $2.14/ pound because of Brazil’s poor season this year. They had a drought that was very tough on the crops and killed many plants.

The department of agriculture predicts that there will be 7.1 million bag shortage this year, which will cause the raising in prices.

America, being one of the highest consumers of coffee, is definitely going to feel the effect of this shortage, and may make it too expensive to get your morning cup of “Joe”.

With the prices of beans rising, it may be wise to stick to making your own coffee rather than going to coffee shops where prices are going to be raised even more than they are now.
