Have you ever seen a girl walking an orange tabby cat around the neighborhood? Chances are, you saw the one and only Taylor Scalise! If you ever find yourself having a conversation with Taylor, she will likely tell you story after story about her orange tabby cat named Toby. When asked what her favorite part of the day is, Taylor responded, “I love coming home to find Toby waiting to greet me!”
She also loves to hang out with her friends. Watching Teen Wolf with them every Monday night is her favorite part of the week. In addition, Taylor is known for wearing her signature tie dye shirts every Tuesday. She tie dyes all summer in anticipation for the school year!
Also, a lot of the time, Taylor stays after school to participate in her various extracurricular activities. She is an active member of the Interact club, PACS, and National Honor Society. However, Taylor’s favorite activity is the Yearbook club. This year she is the Editor-In-Chief of the yearbook.
As one of the hardest workers in BPHS, Taylor has broken three book bags in one year. She strives to be the best that she can be in everything she does, and school is no exception.
After she finishes her senior year this year, Taylor plans on aiming high and attending either The University of Pittsburgh or Duquesne University. She hopes to major in psychology and become a forensic psychologist someday.
She loves setting long-term goals for herself and seeing what she can achieve, but for now, Taylor is starting small and working at a dollar store. Every day, she goes to Panera on her breaks and Starbucks right after work. Then, in her free time, she can often be found snacking at TGI Friday’s. She is a huge fan of food and never denies an opportunity to go out to eat.
Taylor is an interesting person with a wide range of interests and activities, and we are surely excited to see what she will bring to Hawk Eye. Who knows, maybe she will write some food reviews for us in the future.
