Abby Cannon looks to throw the ball in during the Lady Hawks’ JV game vs. USC on Sept. 9.

Despite a multitude of shots, the Lady Hawks soccer team lost 3-0 to the Moon Township tigers Saturday, Sept. 21.

Senior captain Meghan Mathias was determined to put one in the back of the net. In the second half, Mathias had three notable shots in a row.

Additionally, senior Olivia Schram, senior captain Sophia Galietta, junior Alena Kauric, junior Teagan Mehalko, and sophomore Lilly Gaston all had attempts on net.

The JV team earned their third win with a 1-0 victory over Moon. Sophomore Meghan Erfort scored the winning goal.

Looking to improve their section record, the Hawks (4-5, 2-5) will play the Fighting Highlanders (2-4-1, 2-4) at home on Monday. JV will play at 6 p.m. and varsity will follow at 7:30 p.m.. Monday night we honor the six seniors– Sophia Galietta, Meghan Mathais, Molly Hoffman, Tianna Torles, Abby DeLallo, and Harley Vincler– for their dedication to the Bethel Park soccer team.
