The girls’ varsity basketball beat the undefeated Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils 38-32 at home on Monday, Jan. 30. This win was able to get Coach Burke her 400th of her coaching career.

Senior Justina Mascaro was the leading scorer with 15 points. Kam Lach put up 12 points.

Becca Rodriguez said, “It was a great win for us. We were all super excited, and it gives us good energy to finish out the regular season.”

The Lady Hawks improved themselves to 12-6 overall and 4-4 in the section. They also made Lebo’s record 7-1 now. A fact about Mt Lebanon and Bethel Park is that the Blue Devils have never won on the road against the girls’ basketball team.

The varsity will play the Canon Mac Big Macs on Thursday, Feb. 2. The Lady Hawks are looking for their 5th section win of the season. After this they have three more games in their regular season.
