The Lady Hawks were the victors in a section game at USC on Thursday, Jan. 26. Final score: 51-32.

Kam Lach and Maria Cerro each scored 14 points and Dziezgowski and Rodriguez scored 6 each.

In addition to the big win, Senior Justina Mascaro came back after recovering from an ACL injury.

“It was an awesome feeling to know that all my hard work over the past 6 months paid off and I have the chance to finish my senior season playing with my best friends,” Mascaro said with excitement. She ended the game with 5 points.

The win improves the Lady Hawks to 11-6 overall and 3-4 in their section.

The girls’ basketball team will face the Mt. Lebo Blue Devils on Monday, Jan. 30 in a home section game.

They are still striving for their season goal: making playoffs.
