In a hard-fought game in the heart of Foxborough in Gillette Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers got back on track with a win over the New England Patriots.
The Week 3 matchup showcased the resilience of both teams on all sides of the ball.
The game was marked by impressive performances from talents such as Brandin Echols, Kenny Gainwell, and T.J. Watt, who finally escaped the constant triple-coverage he’s been facing since Week 1.
Watt was crucial in the game for Pittsburgh, walking out with two sacks and five tackles, whose efforts highlighted the defense of Pittsburgh, which stood out against an inferior New England team.
However, despite the defense’s showing, the same cannot be said about the offense.
Pittsburgh’s issue with the offensive line once again continued as quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not given much time for decision-making.
A New England defense kept the team in the game for the second and third quarters, as quarterback Drake Maye struggled to manage the pressure from Pittsburgh’s defense.
The game also marked 2025 NFL Draft first-round pick Derrick Harmon’s return to the defense for Pittsburgh from a pre-season injury, as he put many on notice.
His presence helped Pittsburgh climb to the top of the AFC North, now tied with the Cincinnati Bengals at 2-1.
