The community is getting more excited than ever as an announcement regarding the new Bethel Park Elementary School has just been made.
A grand opening gala will be held on Aug. 29, beginning at 6 p.m., at the school located on 5655 Kings School Rd, all in benefit of the Bethel Park Education Foundation.
Quite an impressive feat when realizing the first vertical steel beam of the 280,000-square-foot facility had only been placed on Dec. 17, 2024.
If there is interest in the live updates to the building, a link can be viewed here.
Nonetheless, Tickets are priced at $75 each for the event that promises dinner, entertainment, and adventure.
Speaking of adventure, for those looking to make their evening more memorable, an additional $100 ticket option called the “Passport to Adventure” is available.
Tickets can be purchased with cash or checks at several locations.
Those of which are Evey’s True Hardware, the Bethel Park Public Library, and the BPSD Administration building.
All of these are located on 5779 Library Rd., 5100 Library Ave., and 301 Church Rd. respectively.
For those who are considering attending, keep in mind that formal attire is encouraged.
However, it’s also important to note that the Bethel Park Education Foundation operates independently of the school district.
Therefore, tours of the new elementary school for families and the community will be scheduled at a later date for anyone curious.
As the date approaches, it is hoped that people purchase their tickets early and prepare to celebrate this moment in Bethel Park’s history.
Even BPSD Superintendent Dr. James Walsh stated, “This project will have a lasting impact on our community and will shape the future of our students,” when discussing the building.
Further emphasizing that this grand opening gala is an event that won’t soon be forgotten.
