The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Buffalo Sabres 3-0. The game was played in Buffalo on Saturday night. The big game from DeSmith is the reason why this team surpassed the worst team in the league.

It was a very slow first period with zero goals scored. The Pens then came out strong in the second period and scored a goal on a power play.

The Penguins then scored two empty netters to close out this victory over the Sabres.

Pittsburgh got the job done against Buffalo and stole four points from them in a couple of games. These are great team wins moving forward.

The three goals were scored by Jake Guentzel, Mark Jankowski, and captain Sidney Crosby. Kris Letang also recorded two assists against Buffalo.

Casey DeSmith earned himself a shutout by making spectacular saves the whole game. He saved all 24 shots faced at him.

The Sabres didn’t score any goals this game, but goalie Carter Hutton had a great game saving 31/32 shots faced.

The Penguins play the Boston Bruins on Monday night in Pittsburgh. This is a very important game to win to keep moving ahead in the standings.
