On Monday night, the Lady Hawks soccer team ended their season with a win against the Baldwin Highlanders with a score of 5-0.
“We improved so much as a team, and I am so proud of all that we have accomplished this season. I know we did not make playoffs, but I would not change what this team gave me for the world! These are my friends for life, and I am so proud of each and every one of them and thank them for an awesome senior year,” said senior midfielder Julia Mascaro.
At the end of the first half, the score was 2-0. Junior Megan Mathias scored the first goal for the Hawks and sophomore Teagan Mehalko added a second one to finish the half.
In the second half, seniors Natalie DiGiorno and Julia Mascaro and junior Tianna Torles combined for three more goals.
Unfortunately, the Lady Hawks did not make it into the playoffs but are proud of their overall record (8-5-3).
