Lady Hawks congratulate each other during their game against Canon Mac on Tuesday, Oct. 17. The Lady Hawks won the match 3-1.

The girls’ varsity volleyball team got one last win at home against the Canon McMillan Big Macs on Tuesday, Oct. 17. They won in four sets.

The game was also senior night, and the Drumline kicked off the festivities for the girls. Members from Top 21 performed the National Anthem, too.

Following all the activities for senior night, the girls started with a different lineup to include all seven seniors. But the Big Macs found their groove faster and won the opening set, 25-18.

The Lady Hawks pushed back and won the following three sets– 25-17, 25-19, and 25-17– to finish out the match.

All the seniors agree that this was a nice way to end their high school volleyball career, with one last home win.

This now makes the varsity team 9-6 overall, 7-4 in section, and 2-2 out of the section.

The JV team won 2-0. They are now 12-3 overall.

The girls are not done yet! You can catch them in action at Baldwin on Thursday, Oct, 19 to close out section play and the regular season. The girls made playoffs but will not know where, when, and whom they will play until early next week.
