Homecoming week kicks off

Homecoming week is just around the corner! There are many exciting upcoming events to look forward to beginning with a spirit assembly on Friday, Sept. 23.

MCs for the spirit assembly are Addison Hill and Colin Fink. Top 21 will sing The Alma Mater and The Star Spangled Banner.

Each Homecoming nominee will be recognized, then the court will be announced.

Students will compete against each other in a variety of different games.

The spirit week theme days for Homecoming week (Sept. 23-30) include

  • Friday (9/23) – Black and Orange Day
  • Monday (9/26) – Groutfit Day
  • Tuesday (9/27) -Twin Day
  • Wednesday (9/28) – Dress Like a Teacher Day
  • Thursday (9/29) – Decades Day
  • Friday (9/30) – Flannel Day

There will be games at lunch each day leading up to the Homecoming football game.

Before the football game on Sept. 30 against Penn Hills, there will be a parade. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and begins at St.Val’s, continues down Broad Street, and ends at BPHS.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m.

Homecoming awards will be announced before the football game. During halftime, the king, queen, prince, and princess will be announced.

The date of the Homecoming dance is Saturday, Oct. 1. It begins at 7 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. Tickets, which cost $20 per person are on sale from Sept. 12-23. Forms were sent via email and once signed by a parent or legal guardian, can be turned into the Activities Office located in the Main Office.
