Opinion: I want my loaded tots back

With the school year winding down, and the cafeteria getting ready to close up shop for the year, a couple of our beloved meals have gone off the grid. Hawk Eye’s own Nick Guimond recently wrote an article about the sudden disappearance of spicy chicken for wraps, which by the way has made a resurgence.

Almost every week, I would leave my sixth-period class and order up some loaded tots with meat and cheese.

The tater tots, chicken or beef, and golden nacho cheese make both the perfected combination and my day.

One day, I went in waiting in line for loaded tots and they weren’t there. I waited for the rest of the week for loaded tots, and they just weren’t there. I was in disbelief. What happened to the loaded tots?

Loaded tots super fan Mr. Allemang said, “Loaded tots helped keep me at my peak performance last year when they were a regular part of my diet.”

Bethel Park Hockey goalie and senior Nick Guimond said, “I’ve been craving loaded tots, and I really wish they would bring them back!”

As you can see, both teachers and students see this is as an issue that can hopefully be fixed either before the year is over or for the beginning of next year.
