The girls varsity basketball team dominated their game against Albert Gallatin on Monday, Jan. 19, earning an impressive 60-16 victory.
Senior point guard Kathryn Boff led the charge as the top scorer, showcasing her skills and contributing significantly to the team’s success.
Another high scorer, junior guard Avery Bonacci, said: “My goals going into the game were to play well in the first half, so that in the second half our JV girls would get an opportunity to play in the varsity game. And for some of them to score.”
Senior captain, forward Abligail Stutzman said, “We knew this was a must-win game if we wanted a chance at making the playoffs this year. Even though we had already beaten them, we had to approach the game like we would any other opponent and not make it easy for them”.
With this win, Bethel Park improved their section record to 4-4 and overall record to 9-6.
They next play host to Uniontown at 6 p.m. on Friday. It is Athletic Hall of Fame night!
