Sep. 28, 2025 marked a historic morning in NFL history, as for the third time in league history, the NFL hosted a game in Dublin, Ireland.
As part of the NFL’s global expansion, this 9:30 a.m. game treated many international fans to something they had never experienced.
The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings surely left the fans in Croke Park with a day they’d never forget.
This would act as a particularly impressive feat for Pittsburgh, because after a rough kickoff on their behalf, it left many around the world unsure.
However, under the guidance of head coach Mike Tomlin, the team bounced back, as shortly after, Kenny Gainwell scored his first of two touchdowns in the game.
Despite Gainwell’s performance, others were worth a mention, as starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and star wide receiver DK Metcalf truly showed out.
On the defensive end, Pittsburgh continued to show why they have one of the top defensive units in the league, as Jalen Ramsey, Patrick Queen, and T.J. Watt’s contributions were notable.
For Minnesoda, the game marked the return of Jordan Addison, who assisted an overworked Justin Jefferson.
Although the relief wouldn’t last long for the Kevin O’Connell-coached team, as worries regarding the quarterback position continue.

Now with a bye week ahead, Pittsburgh looks to rest and prepare for an important divisional game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.
Meanwhile, Minnesoda looks to take on the previously mentioned Cleveland team, one week before Pittsburgh.
A game that should allow Minnesota to bounce back with a win ahead of a rough schedule in the following weeks.
Now on top of the AFC North and two weeks to recover, the future looks bright for Pittsburgh as they look ahead towards a record seventh Super Bowl title.
