The Cincinnati Bengals upset a playoff-contending team, the Tennessee Titans, 31-20. The game was played on a sunny day in Cincinnati. The Bengals offense was too much for the Titans.

A major part of the Cincinnati Bengals winning this game was their passing game. The rookie quarterback from LSU Joe Burrow threw for 249 yards and went 26-37 passing. The rookie had two touchdowns, one to his most reliable wide receiver Tyler Boyd, and the other to Giovani Bernard. T

he Pitt graduate Tyler Boyd caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.

The Bengals running game was also very effective in this matchup. They ran the ball for 118 yards without their starting running back Joe Mixon. Joe Mixon was out of Sunday’s game due to a foot injury.

Giovani Bernard knew that he needed to step up. Bernard ran the ball 15 times and ran for 62 yards.

Samaje Perine ran for 32 yards against the Titans.

Cincinnati’s defense looked very strong on Sunday. They held this Titans offense to only 20 points. The Titans have arguably the best running back in the NFL, Derrick Henry. The 6-foot-3, 238-pound back had 18 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals did a great job keeping him to minimum yardage on every carry.

The Cincinnati Bengals offense was too much to handle for the Titans defense and got the job done at home.

The Bengals have a bye week next week and then have to go on the road to the unbeaten Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers just beat the Baltimore Ravens 28-24 to improve to 7-0. This will be a shoot out, and you won’t want to miss it.
