Bruins play Hurricanes Thursday night in Eastern Final

After the Bruins 3-0 win against the Blue Jackets in Game 6 on Monday night, the Bruins will play the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final of the Stanley Cup playoffs Thursday, May 9 at 8 p.m. in Boston.

The Bruins eliminated the Blue Jackets in six games to advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2013.

The Hurricanes swept the New York Islanders in four games to advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the fourth time in franchise history.

When the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs began, the Boston Bruins started their mission to capture their seventh Stanley Cup.

In Game 1, the Boston Bruins won by the score of 3-2 to take a 1-0 series lead.

In Game 2, Columbus rebounded and won 3-2 in double overtime to tie the series at one game apiece.

In Game 3, Columbus fed off of the hometown crowd in Columbus and won 2-1 to take a 2-1 series lead.

In Game 4, Boston rebounded and won 4-1 to tie the series at two games apiece.

In Game 5, Boston fed off of the hometown crowd and won 4-3 to take a 3-2 series lead.

In Game 6, it was do-or-die for Columbus as they got shutout by Boston by the score of 3-0 to capture the series 4-2 to advance the Eastern Conference Final.

When Thursday night comes around, the Bruins and Hurricanes will collide in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final, as both look to take the other down and inch closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, THE STANLEY CUP.
