Avalanche to face Sharks in winner-take-all battle in San Jose

After an impressive 4-3 overtime win against the San Jose Sharks on Monday night in Game 6 to even the series at three apiece, the Avalanche will have yet another chance to move on to the Western Conference Final of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Wednesday night at 9 p.m. at SAP Center in San Jose.

After finding themselves in a 3-2 series hole, the Avalanche have stormed back and look to carry their momentum into Game 7.

When the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs began, the Colorado Avalanche started their mission to capture their first Stanley Cup.

In Game 1 of the current series, the Sharks won by the score of 5-2 to take a 1-0 series lead.

In Game 2, the Avalanche rebounded to win by the score 4-3 to tie the series at one game apiece. The series shifted to Colorado for Games 3 and 4.

In Game 3, San Jose silenced the hometown Colorado crowd in a 4-2 win to take a 2-1 series lead.

In Game 4, the Avalanche shutout the Sharks by the score of 3-0 win to tie the series at two games apiece.

In Game 5, San Jose rebounded to win by the score 2-1 to take a 3-2 series lead, giving them a chance to eliminate the Avalanche in six games.

In Game 6, it was do-or-die for the Avalanche; with the crowd in their corner, they pulled out the 4-3 win in overtime to even the series at three.

When Wednesday night comes around, the Colorado Avalanche will have one more chance to move on to the Western Conference Final of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. If not, the Sharks will move on and the Avalanches’ season will be over.
