Pens, Predators to face off for second, final time in Pittsburgh

After an impressive 5-2 win against the New York Rangers on Monday, March. 25, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins begin a two-game homestand Friday night against the Nashville Predators on Friday, Mar. 29 at 7 p.m. at PPG paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

The Predators are just finishing up a three-game road trip that began with 5-0 shutout loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, March 23; a 1-0 shutout win against the Minnesota Wild on Monday, Mar. 25; and ends with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, Mar. 29.

The Predators are now 43-28-6 and are in second place in the Central Division.

The Penguins just finished up a four-game road trip that began with a 3-2 shootout loss against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, March 19; a 2-1 shootout win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, March 21; a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, March 23; and a 5-2 win against the New York Rangers on Monday, March 25.

Now the Penguins come back home to PPG Paints Arena to begin a two-game homestand that begins with a matchup against the Nashville Predators on Friday, March 29.

The Penguins are now 42-24-11 and are in second place and tied with the New York Islanders in Points (95).

When Friday night comes around, the Penguins and Predators will meet for the second and final time this season. These two teams last played in Nashville on March 21 in which the Penguins won that game in a shootout by the score of 2-1.

Even though the Penguins still have injuries to Zach Aston Reese, Olli Maatta, Evgeni Malkin, and Chad Ruhwedel, it should be an entertaining game on Friday night in Pittsburgh as the Penguins look to win four games in a row and move two points ahead the New York Islanders and move one point behind the Metropolitan Division Leaders Washington Capitals and inch closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, the STANLEY CUP.
