New York Rangers forward Brendan Shanahan warms up before a 2008 Stanley Cup Playoff 2nd round game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. May 4, 2008.

After an impressive 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins’ four-game road trip will conclude with a stop in New York against the Rangers on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers just finished up an away game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, March 23 in which the Rangers won that game in overtime by the score of 2-1.

The Rangers are now 29-32-13 and are in seventh place in the Metropolitan Division.

The Penguins are just finishing up a four-game road trip that began with a 3-2 shootout loss against Carolina on Tuesday, March 19; and a 2-1 shootout win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, March 21; and a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, March 23; and now ends with a matchup against the New York Rangers.

The Penguins are now 41-21-11 and are in third place in the Metropolitan Division.

When Monday night comes around, the Penguins and Rangers will meet for the third time this season. These two teams last played in Pittsburgh on Feb. 17 in which the Penguins won that game by the score of 6-5.

Even though the Penguins still have injuries to Zach Aston Reese, Olli Maatta, Evgeni Malkin, and Chad Ruhwedel, it should be an entertaining game on Monday night in New York as the Penguins look to win three games in a row and move ahead two points and be tied with the New York Islanders in points (95) and to move one point behind the Metropolitan Division leaders Washington Capitals and inch closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, the STANLEY CUP.
