Bryan Rust of the Pittsburgh Penguins scores a goal against the Washington Capitals in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Second Round during the 2017 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Verizon Center on May 10, 2017 in Washington, DC.

After an impressive 4-2 win against the Boston Bruins on Sunday night, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins will face off against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night Mar. 12 at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

The Capitals just finished up a home game against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, Mar. 10 in which the Capitals won that game by the score of 3-1; and now the Capitals begin a four-game road trip that faces off Tuesday night in Pittsburgh against the Pens.

The Capitals are now 41-21-7 and are in first place in the Metropolitan Division.

The Penguins are just finishing up a brief two-game homestand that began with a 4-2 win against the Boston Bruins on Sunday, Mar. 10; and now ends with a match-up against the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions  Washington Capitals on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh.

The Penguins are now 37-23-9 and are in third place in the Metropolitan Division.

When Tuesday night comes around, the Penguins and Capitals will meet for the fourth and final time this season. These two teams last played in Washington on Dec. 19, in which the Penguins won that game by the score of 2-1.

Even though the Penguins still have injuries to Chad Ruhwedel, Bryan Rust, Kris Letang, and Olli Maatta, it should be an entertaining game on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh as the Penguins look for their second consecutive win and to move two points ahead and be tied with the New York Islanders and to move four points behind the Washington Capitals and inch closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, the STANLEY CUP.
