Lady Hawks huddle up during their game against Peters on Jan. 28.

The Lady Hawks took a tough loss on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to the Peters Township Indians in the semifinals of the WPIAL playoffs. This now puts the Hawks in third place in 6A and 21-3 overall. All three of their losses are to the Indians.

However, the season is not over for the Lady Hawks. Since they won their quarterfinal game against Seneca Valley, they qualify for the PIAA playoffs.

Their first game will be on Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at Bald Eagle Area HS against State College. The Lady Hawks played them last year in the second round of the PIAA playoffs after defeating the Indians. The Lady Hawks beat the Lions 53-35 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

“This time together is limited. If we lose a game we are done so I’m excited to start a playoff run with this team!” said junior guard Mallory Locke.

The Lady Hawks are ready to start another playoff run.

Make sure to wish your Lady Hawks good luck!
