Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby accepts the Prince of Wales Trophy following the Pens double overtime win over the Ottawa Senators in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final, May 25, 2017, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.

After an impressive 4-3 win against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins will face off against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

The Sharks just finished up a three-game homestand that began with a 5-1 loss against the Washington Capitals on Thursday, Feb. 14; a 3-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, Feb. 16; and a disappointing 6-5 loss against the Boston Bruins on Monday, Feb. 18.

San Jose now begins a four-game road trip that goes through Pittsburgh on Thursday, Feb. 21; a set of back-to-back games in Columbus on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Detroit on Sunday, Feb. 24; and ends with a rematch against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

The Sharks are now 35-17-8 and are in second place in the Pacific Division.

The Penguins just finished up a one-game road trip that ended with an impressive 4-3 win against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and now the Penguins come back home to PPG Paints Arena for a match-up against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

The Pens will then begin a four-game road trip that commences Saturday night for a rematch against the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2019 NHL Stadium Series at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.

The Penguins are now 32-21-7 and are in third place in the Metropolitan Division.

When Thursday night comes around, the Penguins and Sharks will meet for the second and final time this season. These two teams last played in San Jose on Jan. 15 in which the Sharks won that game by the score of 5-2 .

Even though the Penguins still have an injury to Olli Maatta, it should be an entertaining game as the Penguins look for their third consecutive win and to be tied with the Washington Capitals and to move three points behind the New York Islanders and that much closer to winning the greatest trophy in all of sports, the STANLEY CUP.
