After a disappointing 6-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the Boston Bruins on Friday night at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

After an impressive 4-3 win against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night, the Boston Bruins now have two days off before coming to Pittsburgh on Friday night.

After they play the Pens, the Bruins will be on the tail-end of back-to-back games with a home game against the Buffalo Sabers on Sunday night, and a road game against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night. The Boston Bruins are now 17-10-4 and are in fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

The Penguins just finished up a brief three-game road trip that went through Ottawa on Saturday night, New York on Monday night, and Chicago on Wednesday night.  They now come back home to PPG Paints Arena for a three-game  home stand to battle the Boston bruins on Friday night, Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night, and Anaheim Ducks on Monday night.

The Penguins are now 13-11-6 and are still in fourth place, though tied at 32 points with the third-place Islanders, in the Metropolitan Division.

When Friday night comes around, the Penguins and the Bruins will meet for second time this season, they will play each other one more time in Pittsburgh on March 10.

Even though the Pens still have injuries to Patrick Hornqvist, Dominick Simon, and Justin Schultz, it should be an entertaining game on Friday night in Pittsburgh.
