Carter crushes competition at Mingo Invite

IN FIRST PLACE, Carter cruises down Church Hill during the Hawks race vs. Peters and S. Fayette on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Sophomore Emily Carter did it again. This time it was at the Mingo Invite on Thursday, Oct. 11 where she crossed the line first in a time of 19:51.

Carter recorded this impressive time even after running off-course.

“I was just happy I wasn’t disqualified,” said Carter.

Additionally, junior Antonio Burkhart, senior Eli Aldridge, and junior James Counihan all placed within the top 20 of the varsity boys race earning them each a T-shirt as a prize.

In the boys JV race, senior Achut Krishnachand placed 14th.

In the girls JV race, freshman Kaitlyn Hughes placed 3rd, freshman Ella Voskamp placed 8th, and senior Chanel Ngo placed 9th.
