Hawks start playoff push with pink out
The Football team (4-2, 3-1) will take on the Baldwin Fighting Highlanders in an Allegheny Eight Conference matchup on Friday, Oct. 12. A tough Baldwin team (4-3, 2-3) will be coming to Black Hawk Stadium. The Hawks are currently fourth in the Conference and the Highlanders are fifth.
The theme will be a pink out for breast cancer awareness. Everyone in attendance who wears pink will be supporting the cause and will raise awareness. This is important because many people, including those in our own community, are affected by this terrible disease
Pink out shirts are being sold during all lunch periods for only $2, so buy one and support the cause.
Friday’s game has been named the Skylights Fan Game of the Week by WPXI. If you want to be on TV, wear your pink and sit in the student section.
It is also the Steelers Youth Football Game of the Week. A Steelers player will come out with the team for the coin toss and a Steelers reporter will be at the game.
Also, the 2008 WPIAL championship team will be recognized for their title.
The atmosphere should be great and it is always a good time. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m., so show up and show out Friday night for the pink out.
