Junior Molly Hoffman accepts a pass during the Lady Hawks’ game vs. the Lady Macs on Monday, Sept. 17.

On Monday night, the Lady Hawks soccer team improved their record after a section win over Canon Mac with a score of 1-0.

The Lady Hawks certainly defended the nest.

Senior mid-fielder Natalie DiGiorno scored the Hawks’ lone goal. Towards the end of the first half, she scored on a deflection after the ball hit off the opposing team player’s head.

“I think that confidence and defense led us to win the game,” said senior mid-fielder Julia Mascaro.

BP is now 2-2-1 in their conference and 4-2-1 overall and is looking forward to traveling to Brashear on Wednesday for their sixth section game.
