Lady Hawks discuss strategy during their game against Canon Mac on Senior Night on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The girls’ volleyball team traveled to Baldwin to finish out the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 19. It seems like the team is a broken record when it comes to face-offs against the Highlanders; they come close but can never quite grasp the win. They lost 1-3 this time.

The scores were 26-28, 25-23, 25-27, and 25-27. The Lady Hawks fought hard and got themselves back into the game from large deficits, but the Highlanders proved why they are section champions.

Going into the playoffs, the varsity team is 9-7 overall. They end with a 7-5 section record and 2-2 non-section record. The girls finish fourth in the section behind Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, and Peters Township, respectively.

The JV team concludes their season with a win! They beat the Highlanders 2-1 and finish the season 13-3, the exact opposite record they had at the end of last season! Wait to show everyone what you all got!

The varsity squad awaits the playoff bracket that should come out sometime Monday and are looking forward to the first round game next week.

Go Hawks!
