Hawks congratulate each other after a touchdown during their game against Canon Mac on Friday, Oct. 13.

Friday the 13th was a sure nightmare for Canon-McMillan as Bethel Park defended their home turf. The Black Hawks breezed past the Big Macs with a final score of 48-16.

Anthony Chiccitt, the Hawks quarterback, passed for 280 yards on 10 of 13 completions and 3 TDs. Chiccitt had the third most passing yards amongst all of the WPIAL quarterbacks.

Complementing the passing game, the constant running game of the Black Hawks was there for backing support. Running back Tanner Volpatti rushed for over 100 yards.

The win improved Bethel Park to 6-1. Canon-McMillan dropped down to.500 with a 4-4 record.

The Hawks look to boost their record to 7-1 against Altoona this Friday, Oct. 21.

“If we continue playing the way we have been, we should get the job done. But also we can’t them lightly,” said Chiccitt.
