Spirit Week hits BPHS ahead of Sadie Hawkins dance

From Feb. 9 to Feb. 13, BPHS announced that it will be celebrating spirit week.

Throughout the week, activities will be held in the cafeteria during Periods 5, 6, or 7 for lunch, as well as outfit themes for each day.

Themes for Spirit Week go as follows:

  • Monday, Feb. 9: Team USA (Wear red, white, and blue)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 10: Perfect Pair (Twin day)
  • Wednesday, Feb. 11: Mathletes vs. Athletes (Lab coats and pocket protectors vs. Jerseys and letterman jackets)
  • Thursday, Feb. 12: We Love Bethel Park (Wear orange, black, or BP gear)
  • Friday, Feb. 13: Spread the Love (Wear pink, red, or purple)

In addition, students can spread kindness to teachers and other students.

Students can do this through the Wish Week form.

The form closes Feb. 6 at 2:28 pm, so submissions should be made before then.

Everything mentioned is only as preparation for the Sadie Hawkins dance, hosted by the Class of 2027 on Feb. 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $10 each and can be purchased online from Bethel Park’s activity section of their website.

BREAKING NEWS! Patrick Romito is back at it again, writing for the school’s newspaper at 7:30 a.m. When he’s not punching the keys, he’s practicing roleplay for DECA and running up and down the soccer field. Patrick does it all! Patrick is a second-year student in Scholastic Publications. Last year, he crafted 145 articles during the school year. One of his main focuses in Scholastic Publications is to continue to write stories for our school’s online newspaper and to publish 180 articles, beating our school’s record of 172! When asked why he joined Scholastic Publications, he said, “I’ve always enjoyed writing, and this class offers just that.” Balancing school and clubs, Patrick plays travel soccer for the team Sporting BP, competes for the varsity boys soccer team, and works as a lifeguard at Highpoint Fitness! Patrick is a fourth-year member of our school’s DECA club. One of his biggest accomplishments is making it to States in Hershey, Pa, qualifying second for the Sports Management roleplay! After high school, Patrick wishes to travel to Italy and pursue a career in Marketing and Advertising. Patrick describes himself as composed, compassionate, and driven—traits poised for success academically and beyond.
