Bethel Park’s school board kicked off the new year with its annual reorganization meeting.
The meeting marked a fresh start for the district, featuring new leadership, the swearing-in of a new board member, and important schedule announcements.
Notably, Buffie Faes has been named president of the school board, while Christina Headley was elected vice president.
Alongside Colleen Sokira, all the new members were officially sworn in by Judge Ron Arnoni.
In addition to the leadership changes, the board announced a return to its traditional meeting schedule.
Regular sessions will be held on the third and fourth Tuesdays of most months. This marks a shift from the previous schedule of the second and third Tuesdays.
The re-seated board also reappointed Weiss Burkardt Krameras as the district’s solicitor and announced its preliminary 2026 meeting calendar, which remains subject to change.
