The BPHS Holiday Music Concert once again proved to be a highlight of the community’s Christmas season, showcasing an impressive group of student talent.
The evening of Dec. 17 contained performances from a multitude of groups:
- Chamber Orchestra
- Combined Choirs
- Concert Choir
- Jazz Ensemble
- Symphonic Band
- Top 21 Choir
- Treble Choir
Beginning the concert was a rendition of “Veni, Veni Emmanuel”, which set the tone for what was to come.
As the event progressed, attendees were treated to a diverse selection of holiday hits.
This included “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, “Once Upon A December”, “Dueling Jingle Strings”, and “This Christmas.”
However, many agree that the most memorable part of the evening was when the full band and orchestra came together for the first time to perform “Sleigh Ride.”
The evening culminated in a version of the “Christmas Festival” and “Hallelujah Chorus” performed by the combined choirs alongside Bethel Park music alumni.
Their commitment to tradition assisted in making a lasting impression on all who attended.
Nevertheless, congratulations are due to all the students and teachers whose hard work made the event possible.
Dedication and talent not only made for a memorable night of music but also helped spread Christmas cheer.
