Excitement is building in the BPSD as the 2025 fall break approaches quickly.
In reaction to the anticipation, the school district recognized the importance of this time of rest and family bonding and announced an early dismissal schedule for Nov. 26.
This will allow students and staff across the area to get a head start on holiday festivities.
The schedule was released two weeks in advance, ensuring that parents and guardians across the district can arrange transportation conveniently.
The dismissal times go as follows:
- Bethel Park High School: 11:15 a.m.
- Independence Middle School: 11:15 a.m.
- Neil Armstrong Middle School: 12:00 p.m.
- Elementary Schools: 1:00 p.m.
The district also clarified that there will be no kindergarten hosted at any elementary school in the morning or afternoon.
However, lunch will still be served at all elementary schools alongside Neil Armstrong Middle School to ensure the younger students have a meal before being sent home.
This allows the students to maintain the pace of a regular school day.
Classes will return to regular scheduled times upon the students’ return on Dec. 2.
With Thanksgiving on the horizon and Christmas not far ahead, this truly couldn’t come at a better time.
Nonetheless, students and their families should take advantage of this opportunity to get excited for the holiday season.
In the process, it allows all the previously mentioned students to come back more refreshed than ever.
