Due to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Teacher Records Day on Friday, Nov. 6, there will be only three days of instruction the week of Nov. 2. As such, the District has made some schedule changes in the week.

Typically, Group A students attend in-person school on Mondays and Wednesdays. This will be different next week because students in Group B will attend in-person classes on Monday while Group A students learn remotely.

On Election Day, all Bethel Park students will be off from school, whether they are remote that day or not. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, as usual, students in Group A will have in-person classes and Group B students will be remote.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, Group A students will have remote learning and Group B students will be in school as usual.

All students will have off school on Friday, Nov. 6.

Also, Monday, Nov. 9 is the first day of the second nine weeks for Bethel Park students. Students, in most schools, will continue in the hybrid plan until further notice.

Students who attend Memorial Elementary, however, will be learning remotely until Nov. 11. On Oct. 28, a staff member at Memorial Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. This person came in close contact with at least five teachers. They will all be obligated to quarantine for at least 10 days. Therefore, Memorial Elementary will be closed until Nov. 11 for cleaning purposes and a lack of staff to run the school.

Also, Nov. 1 is Daylight Savings Time, so don’t forget to turn your clocks back or you’ll be late for school on Monday.
